Pro-Life Ministry

 Pro-Life Ministry

A new ministry is being formed at St. Anthony Church in order to foster a culture of life and engage parishioners in life-affirming activities.
It will be known as the Pro-Life Ministry, and Trudy Higgins will serve as the Pro-Life Representative.
She would like to assemble a committee that will focus on participating in various activities that are sponsored by the Pro-Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford.
As Catholics, we believe that human life is a precious gift from God and that we must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence.
If you would like to join our committee, please contact Trudy at: 203-305-4972 or [email protected]

Pray to God to protect our unborn children, bring an end to abortion, and heal the individuals and families who have been adversely affected by abortion.

Ways St Anthony Parish is participating during this month long campaign:

October 2,2020 Eucharistic Adoration at St. Anthony Church from 1 pm– 5 pm. Please commit to join us in prayer for God’s intervention in bringing about an end to abortion. If you can’t commit to one full hour all are still welcomed to stop in and pray at any time during the Adoration.

October 3, 2020 - Attend a peaceful Prayer Vigil on Jefferson St, Hartford, across the street from the Hartford GYN Center where abortions are performed. Please consider signing up for an hour or two beginning at 8 am and ending at 3 pm. Two people are needed for each hour.  Carpooling from Prospect is an option.

  • To sign up for one hour or more of prayer on October 2nd or if you are interested in going to Hartford on October 3rd, please call Trudy Higgins at 203-305-4972.

Nine parishioners from St Anthony Parish attended the March for Life in Washington on January 24th!
St Anthony had the largest number of adult participants from all the churches in the Archdiocese!
Everyone who attended agree that is was an amazing experience.
Please consider joining us next year on January 29, 2021!
