St. Anthony Church

This ministry was formed at St. Anthony Church in order to foster a culture of life and engage parishioners in life-affirming activities. This ministry helps to educate parishioners on the issues of abortion and the sanctity of life and organizes political efforts to support life.

2023 Connecticut March for Life: 

Parishioners from St. Anthony’s, St. Bridget’s in Cheshire, St. John’s in Watertown  and Seminarians and priests from the Legionaries of Christ traveled by bus to participate in the second annual March For Life that was held in Hartford on March 22.   We joined over 2500 individuals who attended this very important event.  Pro-Life advocates rallied  for an hour at the State Capitol, listening to the words of nine impassioned speakers.  This was followed by a peaceful march around Bushnell Park with attendees carrying signs in support of life. As pro-life advocates, we hoped that our witness to life would send a strong message to state legislators about the degree of support for life in our state as we continue our prayers for an end to abortion.
