Pro-Life Ministry
This ministry was formed at St. Anthony Church in order to foster a culture of life and engage parishioners in life-affirming activities. This ministry helps to educate parishioners on the issues of abortion and the sanctity of life and organizes political efforts to support life.

2024 Connecticut March for Life:
For the third consecutive year, St. Anthony Church participated in this very important and impactful March For Life, which was held on March 20th. Because of the generosity of the Knights of Columbus of New Haven, our church did not incur any cost for the bus this year. Approximately 2,000 people attended the March in Hartford which included a rally with our Archbishop, and several Pro-Life speakers, followed by a march around Bushnell Park.
Our church was selected by the Archdiocese to be interviewed prior to boarding the bus. 3 of our parishioners were interviewed and included in the March 24th Sunday television show on Channel 20. This was a wonderful opportunity to raise our voices for the protection of the unborn and to uphold the sanctity of human life!
Together with St. Bridget of Sweden, we filled the bus with 44 people in attendance. This included 15 from St. Anthony’s, 20 from St. Bridget’s, 8 from Holy Disciples in Watertown and 1 from a church in Oxford.
This March For Life is an annual event and we encourage you to consider joining us next year!
