Laurie has continued her many ministries during the pandemic as a way of contributing to our parish family. “During these difficult times I feel it is even more important for me to help where I can” she said when asked about the time and talents she gives to St. Anthony Church.
As a lifelong member of the parish, Laurie first began to volunteer in the Faith Formation Ministry when her children were young. When they were grown she then joined the Health Ministry taking blood pressures once a month after Mass. Soon she became a Collection Counter and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and recently became a Reader. For the past two years Laurie has taken on the not insignificant task of watering all the flowers during the Christmas and Easter Seasons. Her care and attention has lengthened by many weeks the time we have all been able to enjoy the flowers. We thank Laurie for her active work within the parish and for being so generous with her time and talents!
