We as a Parish family of St Anthony will focus on the Corporal Works of Mercy in a special way. It will be an opportunity for
us as a family of faith to reach out to others with the mercy and love of God, and to fulfill the call of Pope Francis to be instruments of mercy in the lives of others. We have developed this program that will run from the first Sunday of Lent right up to Easter Sunday.
Each week we will focus on a specific Corporal work of mercy,
and we invite everyone in our Parish to participate:
Weekend of 3/26-3/27: shelter the homeless
Weekend of 4/2-4/3: visit the sick
Weekend of 4/9-4/10: visit the imprisoned
Weekend of 4/20-4/21: bury the dead
A box will be placed on the altar each week to hold your donations. After each Mass, students in our faith formation program will bring the collected items over to the Parish Center, where they will be held until pickup. We look forward to seeing our parishioners get involved in this Parish activity as we reflect on the importance of helping those in need among us.
