Thank you to everyone who attended Connecticut's first-ever March for Life event on March 23rd!
According to Trudy Higgins, our Pro-Life Ministry leader, there was a terrific turnout for the event! We filled our bus with 55 passengers, which included parishioners from St. Anthony’s, St. Bridget of Sweden, St. John the Evangelist, staff of Carolyn’s Place, Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, and seven novice Seminarians from the Legionaries of Christ. The Knights of Columbus provided Pro-Life signs for attendees to carry throughout the March.
"After hearing some very inspiring stories during the hour-long rally, we walked around Bushnell Park for an hour before heading back on the bus. The media has reported that there were about 3,000 people who participated in this event. Connecticut is one of only five states who have held a March for Life. It is the intention of the organizers that this March For Life become an annual event every April in Connecticut."
