Katherine Foley began altar serving when she was in fourth grade and usually served at the 9:30 mass. She has enjoyed helping to train the younger servers, including her sister. David Byrne stated that, “Kate has volunteered to serve at other liturgies, including weddings and special feast days, during the church year and is always helping cover Masses when the need arises. Katherine is currently a Senior Server with additional responsibilities for monitoring our younger servers as they gain experience. She takes her duties seriously and is always looking for ways to contribute.” Katherine will be serving her final Mass this Sunday, August 20th at the 9:30 am Mass, since she will be attending the University of Connecticut in the fall as a biology major.
